Debra Cahir practices in the areas of a broad spectrum of catastrophic personal injury, employment, contracts, and premises. She graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Morris and received one of two full academic scholarships from Western State University – College of Law. At WSU, she was the legal assistant for Legal Writing and Analysis, associate editor of law review, wherein she had her own article published; participant and director of both local and state moot courts; received Am Jur awards in Contracts and Professional Responsibility; and received a Fellowship from ABOTA. She interned at the district attorney’s office and the Department of Corporations. She was admitted to practice law in all courts in California in 1989. In private practice Ms. Cahir was lead counsel in many cases taken to verdict and had one appellate decision published. She served as associate corporate counsel for York Risk Services, now part of Sedgwick, and served as a public entity, insurance defense and private corporations defense attorney. Ms. Cahir served on boards of a non-profit entity, OCWL, and trial attorneys. She is married, has two grown sons, and enjoys walking, swimming, and spectator hockey.
