L&W is celebrating a head-turning trial win by Shel Harrell, Catherine Naltsas and Ryane Skinner for the County of Orange and six of its Sheriff’s Deputies. Over the course of three initial trials, L&W obtained dismissal for Orange County and five of its deputy defendants.
Ms. Naltsas led the way in obtaining the final win for the lone remaining deputy defendant in trial four. More particularly, Ms. Naltsas delivered winning briefing and oral argument which prompted United States District Judge David O. Carter to dismiss the last remnant of Plaintiff’s case.
The matter was entitled Holloway v. County of Orange and the litigation generated significant media coverage over the six year life of the case. This included coverage in the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register.
This successful final result typifies L&W’s stellar work in high profile, high stakes jury trials. And the win further solidifies L&W’s superior record of stand-out performance in state and federal court. The L&W family now congratulates our entire Holloway team for this electrifying win!
