DOUG RAFNER, DEL MAR UNION SCHOOLS DISTRICT, BOARD OF TRUSTEES

LW attorney Doug Rafner has been a steadfast member of the Del Mar Union School District’s Board of Trustees since 2010, demonstrating unwavering commitment and leadership. Throughout his tenure, he has held the position of Board President for five years, showcasing his dedication to the district’s success. In 2022, Doug won his fourth election, securing his seat on the school board until 2026.
Doug’s journey on the Board began when his own children were in school. With his youngest now graduating from college this year, it’s evident that his commitment to the DMUSD is driven by a genuine desire to serve the community. He has consistently worked to ensure that every child in the district receives the highest quality education possible. Under his leadership and with the collective efforts of educators, staff, and the community, DMUSD has consistently ranked among the top school districts in the state. Doug is immensely proud of these accomplishments and remains dedicated to the mission of fostering educational excellence for all students.
