January 1, 2010, Los Angeles, CA - Lynberg & Watkins is very pleased to announce that three of its attorneys have been elevated to Partner status with the firm. New partners Philip H. Lo and Allison G. Turner will work out of the Los Angeles office, and Shannon L. Gustafson works in the Orange office. Congratulations are in order for all of them.

June 1, 2009, Los Angeles, CA - Lynberg & Watkins is pleased to announce the hiring of new associate attorney Catherine A. Estrada for its Los Angeles office.

May 29, 2009, Orange, CA - On May 14, 2009, Norman J. Watkins, with the assistance of S. Frank Harrell, and Anaheim Deputy City Attorney, Debra Knefel, obtained a defense verdict on behalf of the City of Anaheim and four of its peace officers in a high profile wrongful death matter, in which the decedent had been in a coma for over 7 years before his death. His medical expenses alone exceeded $5 million. After four weeks of trial in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the 10 member jury deliberated for approximately 7 hours before returning a complete defense verdict.

February 18, 2009, Orange, CA - On February 17, 2009, S. Frank Harrell, with the assistance of Alexandru Mihai, obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a public entity client in a case where the plaintiff alleged civil rights violations, including a purported excessive use of force. The Federal Court jury deliberated for approximately 1 hour before returning with the defense verdict.

February 10, 2009, Orange, CA - On February 9, 2009, Norman J. Watkins, with the assistance of Pancy Lin, obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a public entity client in a highly publicized case in which the plaintiff asserted employment-related claims against the public official to whom he had reported. After a two week trial in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the 8 member jury deliberated for approximately 5 hours before returning a complete defense verdict.

January 14, 2009, Los Angeles, CA
- On January 13, 2009, S. Frank Harrell obtained a defense verdict on behalf of multiple police officers of the City of Hermosa Beach in a case where the plaintiff alleged civil rights violations, including a purported excessive use of force. After approximately four hours of deliberations, the three man, four woman jury returned with their unanimous verdict exonerating the involved officers.

December 1, 2008, Los Angeles, CA - Lynberg & Watkins is pleased to announce that three new associate attorneys have joined the firm, having just passed the California State Bar examination. Attorneys Rosemary H. Do and Ryan M. Terschluse will be working in the Los Angeles office, while attorney Scott Danforth will work in the Orange office.

May 5, 2008, Los Angeles, CA - Lynberg & Watkins is pleased to announce the hiring of new associate attorneys for its offices in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Attorney Heather Hamby will be working in the Los Angeles office, while attorneys Andrea Suarez and Pancy Lin will work in the Orange office.

May 1, 2008, Los Angeles, CA - On March 24, 2008, Norman J. Watkins, with the assistance of Shannon Gustafson, obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a public entity client in a case where the plaintiff alleged civil rights violations, including a purported excessive use of force. The plaintiff in the case, represented by a cadre of experienced civil rights attorneys, issued a settlement demand prior to trial of almost $3 million. The trial took place in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and lasted for almost three weeks.
