October 19, 2011 - A Lynberg & Watkins litigation team recently won summary judgment in federal court on behalf of the County of Orange in a $50 million dollar lawsuit filed by an Orange County Men’s Central Jail inmate who claimed that he was paralyzed from the waist down after an attack by other inmates. >> More

July 1, 2010 - Lynberg & Watkins is very pleased to announce that Mr. Gary Bacio has joined the firm as a partner. Mr. Bacio brings with him over twenty-five years of trial experience on claims regarding public entity defense, personal injury, business and commercial litigation.
January 1, 2010 - Lynberg & Watkins is very pleased to announce that three of its attorneys have been elevated to Partner status with the firm. New partners Philip H. Lo and Allison G. Turner will work out of the Los Angeles office, and Shannon L. Gustafson works in the Orange office.

May 29, 2009 - On May 14, 2009, Norman J. Watkins, with the assistance of S. Frank Harrell, and Anaheim Deputy City Attorney, Debra Knefel, obtained a defense verdict on behalf of the City of Anaheim and four of its peace officers in a high profile wrongful death matter, in which the decedent had been in a coma for over 7 years before his death. His medical expenses alone exceeded $5 million. After four weeks of trial in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the 10 member jury deliberated for approximately 7 hours before returning a complete defense verdict.
February 18, 2009 - On February 17, 2009, S. Frank Harrell, with the assistance of Alexandru Mihai, obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a public entity client in a case where the plaintiff alleged civil rights violations, including a purported excessive use of force. The Federal Court jury deliberated for approximately 1 hour before returning with the defense verdict.
February 10, 2009 - On February 9, 2009, Norman J. Watkins, with the assistance of Pancy Lin, obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a public entity client in a highly publicized case in which the plaintiff asserted employment-related claims against the public official to whom he had reported. After a two week trial in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the 8 member jury deliberated for approximately 5 hours before returning a complete defense verdict.
January 14, 2009 - On January 13, 2009, S. Frank Harrell obtained a defense verdict on behalf of multiple police officers of the City of Hermosa Beach in a case where the plaintiff alleged civil rights violations, including a purported excessive use of force. After approximately four hours of deliberations, the three man, four woman jury returned with their unanimous verdict exonerating the involved officers.
